On Tuesday, April 24th, Leah Kauffman be hosting & moderating Blogging about Philadelphia’s Creative Spaces, a panel discussion featuring some of Philly’s brightest bloggers. The panel discussion will be held at PhilaMOCA from 6pm - 8pm.
Why is this conversation important? Philadelphia’s creative vitality is stronger than ever, full of cultural nooks and hidden gems waiting to be discovered. We’ll ask these innovative storytellers to discuss tips, triumphs, and challenges associated with covering and cultivating culture in Philadelphia.

About Conrad Benner
Conrad Benner is a Philly-based photographer and the founder of StreetsDept.com, a photography blog set out to discover art -in all its forms- on the streets of Philadelphia. While street art is a naturally fleeting and constantly evolving art form, Streets Dept lives as an online gallery where Philly’s greatest works of public art can been viewed without limit. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Conrad has an unfailing love and excitement for the city which radiates throughout his photography.
About George Miller
George Miller is the publisher of JUMP, an all-local Philly print music magazine. He is also an assistant professor of journalism at Temple University. He throws knuckleballs, plays with Mookie (his dog), shoots 3-pointers and reads a lot of books (the real kind). He dreams of being the next Joe Strummer.
About Eric Smith
Eric Smith is a blogger, writer, and publishing geek living in Philadelphia.
A graduate of Arcadia University’s English MA program, Eric is the co-founder of Geekadelphia, a hyper-local Philadelphia blog about all-that-is-geek in the city. What began as a small side project in 2007 blossomed into a major website / beloved headache. Last year, he launched the Philadelphia Geek Awards with the Academy of Natural Sciences, a black tie gala honoring the Philly ‘Geek’ scene.
When he isn’t fussing over his next book or writing blogs, he teaches courses at Peirce College and works full time at Quirk Books, a publishing house in Old City Philadelphia where he handles social media, pitches books to online outlets, and runs the company blog.
