This is one of the first songs that we knew right away was going to be on Khari’s first album (Wait For Sunrise). We released Wait For Sunrise this past March, on the first day of Spring. It was kind of symbolic of both our attitude as individuals and our business adventure called The Lunchroom — ”Wait for sunrise, Wish for better days.” We are still working towards our goal, continually raising the bar for ourselves and each other, expanding our expectations, but most importantly being patient with our success. We know there is a long road ahead of us but we recognize there is also a long road behind us. I would love to be moving 100 mph, however, I don’t think it’s about covering more ground but rather making each step along the way of great value to ourselves, each other, our peers, and our families. These are the people that push us, they make the creative process more fun, they make it comfortable moving into the unknown, they permit us to learn from their mistakes in addition to our own. Any success we have at The Lunchroom is a result of this very symbiotic ecosystem that Khari, myself, and all of our peers have fostered. We look forward to the process, the next step, and even the failures along the way. We know as long as we are creating something better today than we did yesterday we will find the success we are so hungry for.
